New Seattle Bike Park Teaches Traffic Safety to Kids
Written by: Ken Selander Category: Bicycle AccidentsThe White Center Bike Playground officially opened this month 8 miles south of downtown Seattle. The playground is a project of the Cascade Bicycle Club inspired by traffic gardens popular in northern Europe. The idea of the bike playground is to familiarize kids and new bike riders with different traffic scenarios, signs, and bicycling etiquette.
Hopefully the park will help cut down on bicycle accidents in the Seattle area and keep young kids interested in exploring their neighborhoods on their bikes and stay active. The park is absolutely free to both kids and adults.
